Ocean Swims

Carlton Park Surf Lifesaving Club is proud to be associated with the Tasmanian Ocean Swim Series. The club encourages swimmers of all abilities to participate in events across the season. Carlton Park organises three key swims across the summer period that vary in location, distance and format. Participants are drawn from diverse backgrounds including swim clubs, triathlon groups, surf clubs and individuals who just enjoy a recreational swim.

Carlton Park Clearwater Classic

Welcome in summer at the annual CPSLSC Surf Festival. This is the first race of the Tasmanian Ocean Swim Series and always a popular start to the season.
Date: Saturday 1st December (New Date)
Distances: 1.5km and 500m

7MB Ocean Swim

The 7MB Ocean Swim is jointly hosted with Swimming Tasmania. Held at beautiful Seven Mile Beach just 20mins from Hobart in the clear sheltered waters of Fredrick Henry Bay, the day has something for everyone!
Date: Sunday 16th December
Distances: 2km and 500m

The event also includes the exciting new Banana Boat SwimKids Series which is designed specifically for kids. Aimed at 7-12 year olds, the BBSK Series is making its debut in Hobart in 2018.
Distances: 100-300m

BROOKE STREET PIER 12 HUNDRED

Join us smack bang in the middle of the festive season for this 1200m event. Grab your cap and googles – and get your feet kicking along to Brooke Street Pier.
Date: Saturday 29th December
Distance: 1.2km
